About Me and How I Help
In addition to being a Licensed Master Social Worker, I hold a Master of Fine Arts degree from New York University. I bring many years of experience working with children, teens, and adults, particularly within the world of the performing arts—an environment that has deeply shaped and inspired my therapeutic approach. My background as a performer and dance educator fostered a strong understanding of the mind–body connection, which continues to inform how I support clients in navigating life’s challenges.
I have worked in a variety of settings, including higher education, public elementary schools, and private organizations. Through a trauma-informed lens, I collaborate closely with each client to identify meaningful therapeutic goals, drawing from a strengths-based, person-centered approach that honors each individual’s unique experiences and resilience.
In the therapy room, I integrate a range of evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness practices such as breathing and relaxation exercises, and Play Therapy. When appropriate—particularly in work related to trauma and grief—I also incorporate somatic approaches, helping clients reconnect with their bodies in gentle, supportive ways.
I believe therapy is a collaborative and compassionate process. Together, we work to understand and address the stressors that may show up as anxiety, depression, or interpersonal challenges, while nurturing self-compassion, motivation, empathy, and positive coping strategies. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel seen, understood, and empowered to move toward greater balance and well-being.
Beyond the Office
When I’m not in the therapy room, music and movement are how I unwind and create balance. I enjoy yoga, writing songs, and singing. I’m also taking on a new challenge, learning to play drums.
