About Me and How I Help

I’m most passionate about helping you put the pieces of yourself together in a way that leaves you hopeful, inspired and open to life’s possibilities. That starts with meeting you where you are to build a relationship of trust and care. As we work together, I promise you will get a sense of who I am as a person, because after all, we heal in relationships, not alone. Whether you need to laugh, cry, or scream, I’m here for it. I approach therapy in a collaborative, friendly and authentic way with a focus on self-compassion, attachment and relational needs, mindfulness and eastern philosophy, and a mix of humanistic, somatic and nature based approaches.

I have training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness (MBSR) to support adults with trauma/grief and loss, relationship issues or life transitions. Maybe you have endured great loss or unbearable pain. Maybe you are feeling lost and want to find yourself. Maybe you feel alone and unloved and want to discover your sense of self-worth, trust and inner strength. Wherever you are on your journey, please know you do not have to shoulder it alone. Together, we can find connection, meaning and hope.

Beyond the Office

When life gets hard, I lean on practicing yoga (I’m a lifelong beginner), time in nature, hugging my dog, or spending time with the people I love. I’m grateful to spend time with my husband and find adventures together. Lately that amounts to going for walks or gentle hikes, sharing some amazing meals and in years past, some really exciting paddleboarding around the waterways of Long Island.
