About Me and How I Help

I believe that psychotherapy is a healing journey undertaken for personal discovery and growth. I meet clients where they are with a gentle, warm, and welcoming presence to find creative and practical ways to alleviate their emotional/psychological suffering and stress. As a graduate of Fordham University’s Graduate School of Social Service, my clinical emphasis is on assisting older adults from all walks of life, including those who are LGBTQ+, neurodiverse, frail, infirm, or dying. As an experienced grief therapist, I focus on escorting clients through the narrow hallways of loss and bereavement with compassion and care.

I like to use a variety of interventions, starting with active listening and supportive reflection with empathy and insight. I also employ motivational interviewing, CBT, poetry therapy, narrative therapy, guided visualization, spirituality, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as needed. This work is my passion in memory of my beloved parents and uncle, who inspired me each day with their generous spirit as they raised seven children and served those around them in need.

Beyond the Office

In my free time, I enjoy reading, writing poetry, nature photography, and spending time with family and friends. I believe that it’s best to live fully in the moment, as it’s really the only time that we have, so it’s best to sufficiently process and let go of anything that does not serve us as we grow older and wiser in life. I look forward to working with you!
