About Me and How I Help
For nearly three decades, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals and families during some of the most meaningful and transformative chapters of their lives. My work has spanned hospice, home care, bereavement support, and psychotherapy, giving me a deep appreciation for the quiet courage people carry through overwhelming moments. In the therapy room, I show up collaboratively and gently, with a steady presence, space for humor when it softens the edges, and deep respect for each person’s inner wisdom.
I specialize in grief, anxiety, depression, boundary work, caregiver strain, family-of-origin patterns, and supporting adults navigating complex life transitions. My therapeutic approach blends humanistic, strengths-based, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and insight-oriented modalities—always tailored to the unique needs, pace, and goals of the individual in front of me. I also bring advanced training in hospice and palliative care, bereavement counseling, crisis intervention, and case management.
My passion for this work comes from witnessing how people grow even in the midst of heartbreak—how clarity, self-compassion, and renewed meaning can emerge from places once feared.
Beyond the Office
Outside of sessions, I find joy in animals, nature, exploring hidden pockets of Long Island, wandering through museums, indulging my love of historical trivia, and—true to my native New Yorker spirit—exploring and frolicking through the colorful rhythms of NYC. I’m also deeply drawn to independent films and documentaries, which satisfy my love of thoughtful storytelling and the beautifully imperfect human experience. These small adventures keep me grounded and continually inspired.
